Actor Clark Middleton, Known for Roles in 'The Blacklist' and 'Twin Peaks,' Dies at 63

Middleton, born Clark Tinsley Middleton, was a scene-stealer par excellence who exemplified triumph over adversity.

Clark Middleton, a versatile actor known for his memorable supporting roles in films like "Kill Bill" and TV shows like "The Blacklist" and "Twin Peaks," died Sunday at the age of 63.

The news was confirmed by his wife, Elissa Middleton. The cause of death was the West Nile virus, which the actor had contracted in August.

Middleton's agent, Steve Warren, said in a statement that the actor was "a generous and loving soul."

"He will be sorely missed by all who knew him," Warren said.

Middleton's career spanned over three decades. He appeared in over 100 films and television shows, including "The Revenant," "Snowpiercer," "Atomic Blonde," and "Birdman."

But it was his role as Glen Carter, a blind computer expert on "The Blacklist," that brought him widespread recognition. Middleton played the role for eight seasons, and his character became a fan favorite.

Middleton also had a recurring role as Charlie, the manager of the Double R Diner, in the Showtime revival of "Twin Peaks."

In addition to his acting career, Middleton was also a passionate advocate for disability rights. He was born with rheumatoid arthritis, and he used his platform to raise awareness about the condition.

Middleton is survived by his wife, Elissa, and his two children, John and Sophie.
